Harvester UI · Developed by us

On Prime, the UI says SUSE Virtualization and uses the SUSE colours

On a Prime cluster the logo already read "SUSE Virtualization", but every page still said "Harvester", and the standalone UI used its own lighter green. Now the product name follows Prime in 56 places, and standalone Prime uses the same SUSE theme as Rancher Prime.

The flow

1

The cluster Dashboard

On a Prime cluster, the page title now matches the logo above it.

Dashboard title: before Harvester Cluster: local, after SUSE Virtualization Cluster: local
Before, the logo said SUSE Virtualization while the title said Harvester. The selected menu item also shows the new green.
2

The Support page and help texts

The Support title and the support bundle text use the Prime name. Settings and add-on descriptions do too.

Support page: before Harvester Support with a green hills banner, after SUSE Virtualization Support with the SUSE banner
The banner picture also switches to the one Rancher Prime uses, because it comes with the SUSE theme.
3

The SUSE colours, light theme

Standalone Prime now uses the same theme as Rancher Prime.

Virtual Machines list: before light green buttons with dark text, after darker SUSE green with white text
Before, the green was a light one with dark text. After, the Create button, the selected menu item and the active toggle use the darker SUSE green with white text, as in Rancher Prime.
4

The SUSE colours, dark theme

In dark mode the main green was already right. The selected item and the active toggle now match Rancher Prime.

Virtual Machines list in dark mode: the selected menu item changes from bright green to a pale mint
This one is a small change: the pale mint highlight is what Rancher Prime shows in dark mode.
5

Harvester without Prime is unchanged

On our non-Prime test Harvester, the logo, title and colours stay as they were.

Non-Prime Harvester dashboard: Harvester logo and Harvester Cluster: local on both sides
Before and After look the same. We also checked Rancher 2.15.1 with the new version loaded: all 56 texts say Harvester.
6

Inside Rancher 2.16 Prime

Opening the same Prime cluster from Rancher 2.16 Prime shows SUSE Virtualization too.

Rancher 2.16 Prime, Virtualization Management cluster dashboard titled SUSE Virtualization Cluster: harvester-118
Only "After" here: our Rancher already runs the new version, and the official release before it says "Harvester Cluster", like step 5.
